There are so many good vegetarian patties you can make, like quinoa, millet, tofu and now these with lentils. So good and they hold together well and does not crumble. I chose to have mine in a salad together with grilled veggies and hummus, but they are good to have as a filling in wrap too.
Lentil Patties
1 can (400g) of brown lentils
0.5 red onion, chopped
0.5 dl parmesan or nutritional yeast
1-2 tsp psyllium husks
1 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp paprika powder
1/8 tsp salt or to taste
Mix the lentils and onion with a hand blender to a puree. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir to combine. Heat a skillet with coconut oil. Shape the mixture into 5-6 patties and flatten them slightly. Fry on both sides until they are cooked through. Optionally, you can bake them in the oven at 180 C for about 25-30 minutes.
Linsbiffar
1 burk (400g) bruna linser
0,5 rödlök, hackad
0,5 dl parmesan eller bjäst
1-2 tsk psyllium
1 tsk oregano
1/4 tsk vitlökspulver
1/4 tsk paprikapulver
1/8 tsk salt eller efter smak
Blanda linser och lök med en stavmixer till puré. Tillsätt resten av ingredienserna och blanda. Hetta upp en stekpanna med kokosolja. Forma smeten till 5-6 biffar och platta till dem lätt. Stek på båda sidor tills de är genomstekta. Eventuellt kan du grädda dem i ugnen i 180 C ca 25-30 minuter.
