I saw a recipe that used cornstarch in brownies. I became curious and wanted to try. So I used one of my brownie recipes and added some cornstarch. But I cannot say I noticed a difference in taste or consistency. They were delicious and that's of course the main thing :)
Hazelnut Chocolate Brownies
50 g butter, soft
1.25 dl sugar
1 egg
0.5 dl wheat flour
0.5 dl cocoa powder
1/8 tsp baking powder
0.5 tbsp cornstarch
one pinch of salt
50 g hazelnut chocolate, chopped
Preheat oven to 160 C degrees. Line a 20 x 15 cm pan with parchment paper.
Stir together butter and sugar. Add the egg and stir well. Add the rest of the ingredients. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Place in the oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the brownies are set. Remove from oven and allow to cool before cutting into pieces..
Hasselnöt Choklad Brownies
50 g smör, mjuk
1,25 dl socker
1 ägg
0,5 dl vetemjöl
0,5 dl kakaopulver
1/8 tsk bakpulver
0,5 msk majsstärkelse
en nypa salt
50 g hasselnötchoklad, hackad
