Caramelized onions are incredibly delicious. I just make them too rarely. I contacted my dad and asked if he uses sugar or syrup when he makes caramelized onions. And he said sugar! So sugar it was and I think I managed to make it almost as good as dad's :) Have a nice day!

1 msk matolja
1 tsk socker

Skala och skiva löken. Stek löken på låg värme i smöret och oljan i en kastrull, tills den blir mjuk, 15-20 minuter. Löken ska få en brun färg. Rör om då och då. Strö på sockret och låt det steka med i några minuter. Rör runt då och då. Smaksätt löken med salt.
Caramelized Onions
4 onions
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp sugar
salt
Peel and slice the onion. Fry the onion over low heat in the butter and oil in a saucepan, until soft, 15-20 minutes. The onion should turn brown. Stir occasionally. Sprinkle with sugar and fry for a few minutes. Stir occasionally. Season the onion with salt.
