Today is Cinnamon Bun Day! Hooray and yum, yum! One of the tastiest and best things you can bake is probably cinnamon buns. I grew up with cinnamon buns and thought it was fun to bake them even as a child. If you want to bake moist cinnamon buns in honor of the day, I have this delicious recipe. You can bake them in a baking dish so that they are baked together, then they will also be more moist. So good!!

Saftiga Kanelbullar

ca 17 st

7-9 dl vetemjöl

1 dl ljust farinsocker

10 g torrjäst

1,5 tsk kardemumma

1 tsk salt

80 g rumsvarmt smör

3 dl mjölk (43-44°)

Fyllning

100 g smör

3/4 dl socker

1,5 msk mald kanel

Låt jäsa i 1-1,5 h. Grädda bullarna i 175 C grader i ca 15-20 minuter.

Moist Cinnamon Buns

approx 17 pcs

7-9 dl wheat flour

1 dl light brown sugar

10 g dry yeast

1.5 tsp cardamom

1 tsp salt

80 g room temperature butter

3 dl milk (43-44°)

Filling

100 g butter

3/4 dl sugar

1.5 tbsp ground cinnamon

Mix wheat flour, light brown sugar, dry yeast, cardamom, salt and butter in a food processor or by hand. Mix to a crumbly mixture. Add the milk and work together into a dough.

Take the dough out on a floured surface and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the filling on the dough. Roll up and cut into slices about 2 cm thick. Place the buns in muffin tins or in a baking form next to each other. Leave to rise for 1-1.5 hours. Brush the buns with egg and sprinkle with pearl sugar. Bake the buns at 175 C degrees for about 15-20 minutes.
