We have been on holiday in Dinant, Belgium. We had a week off and wanted to be out in nature, preferably hiking in the mountains and forests. Holland is not exactly known for having mountains and slopes :), so we took the 4 hour train from Amsterdam to Dinant. A beautiful city with fine architecture, a massive Gothic church and mountains and trails. We were alone out hiking or we didn't see anyone else :) The city was also pretty empty, so March is not the season for tourists. Great with some time off, fresh air and exercise in the form of hiking. At times the terrain was challenging, but we have trail poles, they help a lot, when the terrain becomes steep and uneven. Here you can see some pictures from our days in Dinant.
