I like rum taste in pastries. And by rum I mean essence not real alcohol :) Yes, I think it gets better that way. Do you like rum in pastries? If you have baked something with rum, feel free to tell us. This cake can be served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or why not rum-raisin ice cream :)
Vanilj & Romkaka
60 g smör, rumstemperatur
1 dl socker
1 stort ägg
3/4 dl vetemjöl
0,5 dl vaniljkrämspulver (Sallinen)
1 tsk bakpulver
1 tsk romessens
Värm ugnen till 160 C. Rör samman smöret och sockret. Tillsätt ägget och rör om väl. Tillsätt resten av ingredienserna. Häll smeten i en liten smord och mjölad brödform och grädda i 40-45 minuter.
Vanilla & Rum Cake
60 g butter, room temperature
1 dl sugar
1 large egg
3/4 dl wheat flour
0.5 dl custard powder (Sallinen)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp rum essence
Preheat the oven to 160 C. Stir together the butter and sugar. Add the egg and stir well. The add the rest of the ingredients. Pour the batter into a small greased and floured loaf pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.

Så gott! Jag brukar baka rombollar, typ som chokladbollar fast med rom i.
