Freshly baked scones are something I like a lot. Oat scones are my favorite. But sometimes I want to vary and then I try different ingredients. As in these I have used two favorites, coffee and chocolate. These really taste like coffee and you really don't need anything on them, but cream cheese and some jam goes well anyway.
Espresso Chocolate Scones
2.5 dl whole grain flour
1.5 tsp ground espresso
pinch of sea salt
0.5 tbsp baking powder
2.5 tbsp melted coconut oil
2.5 tbsp fibre syrup
2 tbsp espresso
25 g dark chocolate or coffee chocolate
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a bowl, combine the flour, ground espresso, sea salt, and baking powder. Add the melted coconut oil and syrup. Stir until a crumbly batter forms. Add the espresso to the mixture and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped chocolate. Shape the dough into small scones or make one large scone. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes.
Espresso Choklad Scones
2,5 dl fullkornsmjöl
1,5 tsk espressopulver
en nypa havssalt
0,5 msk bakpulver
2,5 msk smält kokosnötolja
2,5 msk fibersirap
2 msk espresso
Grädda i ugnen i 12-15 minuter.
