This is a chocolate cake with a surprise inside, in the form of a smooth and delicious chocolate-salted caramel paste, yummy! I have bought the chocolate-salted caramel paste in the grocery store, but if don't have that, I can imagine nutella is going to be great to use as well. If you want to have Christmas flavours in the cake, add gingerbread spices to the batter.
Choklad Saltkolarutor
1 ägg
1 1/4 dl strösocker
75 g smör, smält
2 dl vetemjöl
2 msk kakao
1 tsk bakpulver
en nypa salt
0,5 dl mjölk
choklad-saltkolapasta
Frosting:
50 g färskost
0.5 dl florsocker
1 msk kakaopulver
Sätt ugnen på 175° C. Klä en ugnsform, 20 x 25 cm, med bakplåtspapper.
Vispa ägg och socker pösigt. Blanda i smör. Tillsätt sedan mjöl, kakao, bakpulver, salt och mjölk. Häll smeten i formen. Klicka på choklad-saltkolapasta i smeten, lite här och där. Grädda i ugnen i ca 15-18 minuter. Låt svalna helt. Blanda ihop ingredienserna till frostingen till en slät smet. Bred på den svalnade kakan.
Chocolate Salted Caramel Squares
1 egg
1 1/4 dl sugar
75 g butter, melted
2 dl wheat flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
a pinch of salt
0.5 dl milk
chocolate salted caramel paste
Frosting:
50 g cream cheese
0.5 dl icing sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
Put the oven at 175 ° C. Line a 20 x 25 cm baking pan with baking paper.
Whisk egg and sugar until fluffy. Stir in butter. Then add flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and milk. Pour the batter into the baking pan. Top the batter with dollops of chocolate salted caramel paste, a little here and there. Bake in the oven for about 15-18 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Stir together the ingredients for the frosting until smooth. Spread on the cooled cake.
