A tasty vegetable dal with red lentils is a warming dish during autumn. Eat it as such with a good bread or serve it with boiled rice.
Red Lentil and Vegetable Dal
125 g dry red lentils, rinsed
1 finely sliced carrot
1 red onion finely diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 cm piece of fresh ginger, peeled and minced
4 dl vegetable broth
1.5 dl finely chrushed tomatoes, Mutti
0,5 tsp cumin powder
0,5 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp cayenne powder
sea salt
ground black pepper
Put lentils, carrot, onion, garlic, ginger, broth and tomatoes in a pot and cook for 5 minutes. Add the spices and give everything a stir. Cover and let simmer gently for about 20 minutes. Stir the dal often. Season the dal generously with salt and pepper. Serve with e.g. naan.

125 g torkade röda linser, sköljda
1 morot, skivad
1 rödlök finhackad
1 vitlöksklyfta, finhackad
1 cm bit färsk ingefära, skalad och finhackad
4 dl vegetarisk buljong
1,5 dl krossade tomater, Mutti
0,5 tsk spiskumminpulver
0,5 tsk currypulver
1/4 tsk cayennepulver
havssalt
malen svartpeppar
