I bought cherries at a special price and they are great to eat as is, but I also wanted to make a compote that I can use with yogurt and in baked goods. Simple and delicious!
Körbärskompott
250 g urkärnade körsbär
2,5 msk socker (mer eller mindre beroende på hur söta bären är)
0,5 citron, saft
1 tsk potatismjöl + lite vatten
Lägg körsbär, socker och citronsaft i en kastrull. Låt koka i 10 minuter. Red av med potatismjöl. Mixa slät om du vill. Häll upp i en glasburk och förvara i kylskåpet.
Cherry Compote
250 g pitted cherries
2.5 tbsp sugar (more or less depending on how sweet the berries are)
0.5 lemon, juice
1 tsp potato starch + a little water
Put cherries, sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan. Boil for 10 minutes. Stir in potato starch. Blend until smooth if desired. Pour into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
