Don't throw away dry bread! Make croutons that are great for soup, as snacks or dipping them in cream cheese is also delicious. I had bread in the freezer that I knew wouldn't be eaten and I needed to make room for something else, so I took frozen bread that I thawed and then diced and seasoned. Simple and delicious!
Brödkrutonger med Örter
ca. 3 dl tärnat bröd
1 msk olja
1 liten vitlöksklyfta, pressad
1,5 tsk Italienska örter, torkade
en nypa salt
Lägg alla ingredienser i en bunke och blanda så att alla brödbitar belagda med olja. Sprid ut tärningarna på en ugnsplåt klädd med bakplåtspapper. Rosta i ugnen i 200 C° i ca 15 minuter. Låt svalna och förvara i en lufttät glasburk.
Bread Croutons with Herbs
approx. 3 dl diced bread
1 tbsp oil
1 garlic clove, pressed
1.5 tsp Italian herbs, dried
a pinch of salt
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix so that all the bread pieces are coated in oil. Spread the cubes out on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Roast in the oven at 200 C° for about 15 minutes. Allow to cool and store in an airtight glass jar.
