This is a sauce / jam that is good to have on porridge, on yoghurt, with pancakes or why not as a filling in cakes. Use more sugar if you want a sweeter jam. Good and easy!
Jordgubbssås / Sylt
3 dl jordgubbar, skivade
2 msk socker
1 tsk majsstärkelse, löst i 1 msk vatten
I en kastrull, lägg jordgubbar, socker och löst majsstärkelse. Rör om och låt koka upp. Sänk sedan värmen och låt sjuda i 5-8 minuter eller bara tills det tjocknat till en syltliknande konsistens.
Strawberry Sauce / Jam
3 dl strawberries, sliced
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cornstarch, dissolved in 1 tbsp water
In a saucepan, put strawberries, sugar and dissolved cornstarch. Stir to combine and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and let simmer for 5-8 minutes or just until thickened to a jam-like consistency.
