When my parents sent us a package, we also received rhubarb from my sister's garden. I can say that this rhubarb tasted so much more and tastier than the ones I buy in the stores here. This tasted like childhood and I had to bake this pie, which we often baked when I was a child. Serve the pie with ice cream, custard or vanilla quark.
Enkel Rabarberpaj /-er
100 g smör
0,75 dl socker
1 ägg
2 dl vetemjöl
1 dl havregryn
1 tsk bakpulver
Fyllning:
rabarberkompott
Blanda smör och socker. Tillsätt ägget och de torra ingredienserna. Tryck ut blandningen i en pajform eller flera mindre bakformar. Fyll pajskalet med rabarberkompott och grädda i 175 grader C i ca 20 minuter.
Simple Rhubarb Pies
100 g butter
0.75 dl sugar
1 egg
2 dl wheat flour
1 dl oats
1 tsp baking powder
Filling:
rhubarb compote
Mix butter and sugar. Add the egg and the dry ingredients. Press the mixture into a pie tin or several smaller baking tins. Fill the pie crust with rhubarb compote and bake at 175 degrees C for about 20 minutes.
