Caramelized onions are so good and I like to have it in burgers, yum! But of course it is also suitable for other foods, for example with oven roasted pumpkin. This time I used both red onion and leeks, but you choose which onion you want to use.
Karamelliserad Lök
röd lök, purjolök
smör
socker / sirap
salt
vatten
Stek löken i smör i ca 10 minuter. Blanda sedan i sirap och salt och stek i ytterligare 5 minuter. Tillsätt lite vatten och stek tills vattnet koka in och löken är mjuk.
Caramelized Onions
red onion, leeks
butter
sugar / syrup
salt
water
Fry the onion in butter for about 10 minutes. Then mix in syrup and salt and fry for another 5 minutes. Add a little water and fry until the water evaporates and the onions are soft.
