Jenny var snäll och hade med sig finsk lakrits till mig :) Det är något av de saker jag saknar mest, förutom familjen förstås, när man bor utomlands. Hon gav mig dessutom en söt liten burk innehållande hjortron-sencha te.
About a week ago I met a Finnish-Swedish girl, Jenny, who reads my blog. She contacted me when she was on her way to New Zealand and had a few days stop-over in Singapore. The funny thing is that she had lived as a child in Singapore and we also came to the conclusion that we have mutual acquaintances / friends. The world is so small sometimes. We met at one of my favorite places, Real Food, which serves vegetarian / vegan, gluten-free and organic food. Jenny ate a vegan dumpling soup and she recommends it. I have tasted many dishes from the menu and I can say that I have never been disappointed.
Jenny was kind and brought Finnish licorice to me :) It's one of the things I miss most, besides the family, of course, when you live abroad. She also gave me a cute little jar containing cloudberry-sencha tea.
