I baked taro root in the oven and they became crunchy and yummy. I liked these better than regular oven baked potatoes. Taro has a flavor that is reminiscent of sweet potatoes. I have also used taro as a filling in buns.
Taro Fries
1 large taro root
1 tbsp coconut oil
sea salt
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Wash and peel the taro
root and slice it into strips. In a bowl combine the taro stripes, oil, and
salt. Place the taro strips on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Turn the
taro fries and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and crispy.
Taro Pommes
1 stor tarorot
1 msk kokosolja
havssalt
Värm ugnen till 200 grader C. Tvätta och skala taroroten
och skiva den i strimlor. I en skål blanda taro, olja och salt. Placera dem på
en plåt och grädda i 10 minuter. Vänd bitarna och grädda i ytterligare 10
minuter tills gyllene och krispiga.
