When I make pie dough, I often use quark, which gives a good texture to the dough together with the butter. I do not only use wheat flour, but I like to mix in rye flour and oatmeal as well. What do you have in your pie dough?
Pajdeg med Kvarg
50 g smör
1 dl kvarg
1 dl rågmjöl
1 dl vetemjöl
3/4 dl havregryn
en nypa salt
Blanda ihop smör, kvarg, mjöl, havregryn och salt till en deg. Tryck ut pajdegen i en form, ca 24 cm i diameter. Förgrädda i ca 10 minuter i 175 C ugn. Fyll med valfri fyllning och grädda i ugnen.
Pie Dough with Quark
50 g butter
1 dl quark
1 dl rye flour
1 dl wheat flour
3/4 dl oatmeal
a pinch of salt
Mix butter, quark, flour, oatmeal and salt into a dough. Press the pie dough into a baking ban, about 24 cm in diameter. Pre-bake for 10 minutes in a 175 C oven. Fill with your choice of filling and bake in the oven.
