I had waited a long time for last weekend  to arrive because of the Amsterdam coffee festival. We booked tickets for the festival in November and now the wait is finally over :) The festival was held in the Westergasfabriek and on Saturday at around 12pm, it was already crowded. You could try coffee from different roasters and the first cup we tasted were from Blommers Speciality Coffee Roasters and their latte was yummy. The coffee beans used in the latte was from Brasil, Ethiopia and El Salvador.

Since I started drinking coffee (September 2015) I know what I like and do not like. The coffee I drink have to have a hint of nuts, chocolate and citrus. What I do not want is coffee with a hint of berries and fruit. I wanted to give coffee with hints of berries and fruit a chance at the coffee festival, but no, I just don'tt like the taste of them. I tried one with hints of orange and honey and with floral and fruit notes.

What I thought was exciting and different in taste was coconut cappuccino. Very exotic and this one could be a great for summer.

On the coffee festival you could also try teas, but I did not. Chai tea seemed to be very popular. You could even buy pastries on site and Nakd had products for sale. Nakd is known for its natural bars with nuts and fruit. News that will come to stores were Nakd nibbles, bags filled with small pieces, with flavors like toffee, coconut, salt caramel. Actually, the small pieces, which are the size of raisins, are the same as the bars but in a smaller format.

A very successful day and now I'm looking forward to next year's coffee festival :)
I f you want to see more from the festival I recommend you to go and check out my Youtube channel here and on my Instagram I have also posted a short video from the festival.
