Kale Chips

Grönkålschips har varit väldigt in den senaste tiden och alla har säkert testat att göra sina egna. Jag har tidigare bara ätit köpta grönkålschips ända tills jag tog tag i saken och gjorde mina egna. Enkelt, knaprigt och gott. Jag valde att endast salta mina, men det går bra att vara kreativ och testa olika smaksättningar. Jag kan tänka mig att kanel passar bra. 

Kale chips have been really in lately, and everyone has certainly tried to do their own. I have only eaten store bought kale chips before, until I recently made my own. Simple, crunchy and delicious. I chose to only salt mine, but it's fine to be creative and try different flavors. I can imagine that cinnamon would be great.


Kale Chips

fresh kale
coconut oil
salt

Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. With a knife carefully remove the leaves from the thick stems and tear into bite size pieces. Wash and dry the kale. Drizzle kale with coconut oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake until the edges brown but are not burnt, 8-10 minutes.

Värm ugnen till 175 grader C. Klä en plåt med bakplåtspapper. Med en kniv skär försiktigt bort bladen från den tjocka stjälken och riv i lagom stora bitar. Tvätta och torka grönkålen. Ringla över kokosolja och strö på salt. Grädda tills kanterna är bruna, men inte brända, ca 8-10 minuter.

  1. I made these chips using fresh young black kale leaves from my garden: divine! Next time, i think, I will add some chili pepper flakes & some ground black pepper!
