Deep Fried Onion Rings


Friterade lökringar

3-4 röda lökar (gula går också)

2,5 mjöl
1 tsk salt
1 tsk bakpulver
1 ägg
2 dl mjölk
olja till fritering

Skala löken och skär den i 5mm tjocka ringar. Lägg lökringarna i kallt vatten i ca 1 timme. Blanda samman de torra ingredienserna. Vispa samman ägg och mjölk. Blanda alla ingredienser till frityrsmeten. Låt vila ca 30 minuter. Torka lökringarna. Doppa lökringarna i frityrsmeten och fritera dem i olja tills de är guldbruna. Låt rinna av på hushållspapper.


Deep fried Onion Rings

3-4 red onions (yellow is ok too)

2,5 flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
2 dl milk
oil for deep frying

Peel onions and cut into 5mm thick rings. Add onion rings in cold water for about 1 hour. Mix together the dry ingredients. Whisk together eggs and milk. Mix all the ingredients to the batter. Let stand for about 30 minutes. Dry onion rings. Dip onion rings in the batter and deep fry them in oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
